Sigh.... My trip was so short.... it just like never enough to be back to home. Get no much time to stay at home and even not much time for me to settle my important personal thing with bank as well.
During the trip, I was having a very bad experience with bank service in Malaysia. I am a Maybank users since 9yrs ago. But I never feel the disappointment until that day. What happened? It is regarding my ATM setting and Credit Card charging.
1st of all, sure to staying in oversea, the only way for me to do Malaysia transaction is online banking. However, in order to transfer money to 3rd party account, the website will require a TAC password from user where I was registered it using my old handphone no. Well, I'd cancelled my maxis handphone no. and I can't do any transaction through online Maybank2u untill I'd undate the new Malaysia handphone no. using the ATM card. Therefore, I brough back my ATM card and trying to use another way to get TAC which is Kawanku phone banking.
Through the information given, I need to register Kawanku phone banking through Maybank counter before I use it for me to get TAC password. Who know, When I present at the Maybank counter, they ask me to register using my ATM card at ATM mechine. OK, thats fine. I took my ATM card and walk towards the ATM mechine. WTF!!! There are 4 ATM mechines and only 2 of them are working!! And... the queue was so long!!! OMG!!!
Nevermind....... I queued. However, when is my turn to register the KawanKu phone banking, the system told me that I'd registered before and get help from counter. Then, I stright heading to the counter and ask for help. The helpdesk was telling me to reset the password. But, I don't even remember the old password, how can I reset my password without accessing the system?!
Nevermind...... I requested to reset all the password through counter again. And.... the officer was reset my password. But the whole password of my Maybank2u!!!!!!!!! And I totally frustrated and fed-up!!!!!!!! In the end, I do nothing on the phone banking services.
Another case.....My credit card charge.
I made few insurance easy payment through my Maybank credit card. But I found out there is a fault charge to my credit card on 21st May. It comes no where from Insurance nor other party. So, I made a call to Maybank, I wanna know what is the detail of the party who charging me and so on... So that I can take further action on asking the insurance company on why charging to my credit card. However, unexpectedly, the customer server that talked to me, told me that they don't have any more detail information to provide me. That CS tell me that I have to fill up a form, to stop the charge and let bank to investigate on that case, bla bla bla....
Fine! Then, I called to my insurance agent. She said, I need to take more detail from bank for her to check to the insurance company. Otherwise, she cannot do anything. Again, I called Maybank Credit department again. This time, the CS talked to me is a different girl. This time, I explain the situation again. But, this CS is very kind, immediately, she can tell me the detail of the charging which is very helpful to me. Finally.... I passed the information to my insurance agent for investigation.
From the event above, I think the largest bank in Malaysia is having different systems among theirself which cause many trouble to all the customer...... !
I hope they can improve in the coming future...
